Not while the Gulf of Mexico is turning into a tar pit.

2. I'm a multi-tasking worrier. I also am concerned about unemployment
along with all the initials of the insane AND the Gulf of Mexico. And, of course, it doesn't do a fuck bit of good so I guess posting on DU about any of them doesn't really matter.

3. The thing that's getting me about GOM
is the complete and utter disregard for the things that really matter to the human and animal life on this planet. Just utter disregard. The disaster is bad enough, but the aftermath is absolutely criminal abuse. It's an abuse that we just cannot tolerate. We as a country cannot tolerate this--being treated like we are children, like we don't need to know...just Shut Up and watch everything you care about be destroyed in the name of the Oil God.

So I know what you mean, bb. It's an emotional roller coaster. It reopens the wounds -- the exploitation, insanity, spin control, etc -- of the last decade. It's Katrina magnified many times, in implication. Obama inherited the situation...but he'd better hurry up and do something. The country is at an emotional pitch that he needs to address. I'm not much interested in other news either.

Let the scientists and the photographers into the Gulf AT LEAST. Give us some information. I am  as hell and I'm gonna stay that way for a long time over this. I don't like to be abused. It's not in my nature to just roll over and take this.

And I hope others are getting to the end of putting up.

4. Thank you Marions Ghost! You speak for me!
It should be plastered all over the news, I haven't seen one report out there.

Our government is MIA.

5. Thank you for the opportunity to say it
Since not many in government are really willing to speak for us...

The silence is deafening.

I can't believe that so many people really do not understand what is happening. They are choosing to ignore.
