Check the timeline at the "Memphis Commercial Appeal" 5/20/2010:

Traffic stop at 11:36, "Officer down" radio call at 11:50. That's 14 minutes.

Also, FBI was on scene at the Walmart where Jerry and Joe died.

Jerry probably didn't have a "Drivers License"......perhaps he simply became weary of going to jail for not having a piece of paper and snapped.

Perhaps the cops were going to rub him out and he fought back.

Jerry Kane and his beautiful son Joe (age 16) were shot to death during an alleged traffic stop by law enforcement on Thursday, May 20th, 2010. Jerry, Joe and their two dogs, while on their way back to their home in Florida have been made out to be everything from drug smugglers to hispanics, which we all know is typical of the media spinners. The police said it was a traffic stop. But their van had more bullet holes in it than Bonnie and Clyde's.

Of course they do not mention that after killing two cops they sped off and took on more cops in the Walmart car park where there was a shootout. They were not killed at the trafic stop.
