Foreclosure Fraud - Floridians Take Note
Once again I've cobbled together some info regarding foreclosure fraud...sorry to drone on...but it is destroying the country.

Houston we have a Problem

Florida has a problem too!

Here's a few fun quotes from this one:

"I would be guessing, but I would say that 90 to 95 percent of foreclosures are filed by the mills," said Legal Aid Attorney Lynn Drysdale.

(Could this be true?)

"We find that the documents that are necessary to get a final judgment are manufactured falsely and are not accurate documents," Drysdale said.

(No way!)

"The Atlanta law firm McCalla Raymer filed Bloomer's foreclosure lawsuit. The firm would discuss neither the number of cases it files nor Bloomer's case. Drysdale said this type of filing is characteristic of foreclosure mills."

(I wonder why?)

"The Florida Attorney General is now investigating Florida Default Law Group - one of the nation's largest foreclosure law firms."

(Floridians...I beg you to contact the AG! Erin Cullaro, former employee and robo-signer extraordinaire of FDLG now works in the Economic Crimes Division! Call the AG's "Fraud Hotline" @ 1-866-966-7226)

A spokesperson said:
"...For allegedly fabricating and/or presenting false and misleading documents in foreclosure cases."

Jacksonville Attorney Chip Parker, of Parker and Dufresne, is familiar with Florida Default Law Group. "They filed a foreclosure using the name of the wrong bank. We told them and they continued to file false pleadings in the case," Parker said.

"The problem for us is it creates title problems on properties," he said.

(Floridians please call your Clerk of Court and see if anyone is home!)

Here's a blatant example of what's going on in our courts:

Who is FL Circuit Judge Meenu "The Rocket" Sasser?

Let's have a look at her investment portfolio...which is all part of the public record.

She holds shares of stock in Bank of New York Mellon.

She has $330K invested in 2 mutual funds in which Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of New York Mellon are part of the portfolio.

She has shares of stock in Fiserv (LPS competitor) and stock in some other related financial wealth management companies.

She owns some preferred stock in Bank of America.

Barclays manages her entire $1.5 million dollar portfolio.

Blackrock is one of the mutual funds and she has stock in that as well, also the mutual funds are heavily invested in US Treasury notes.

BlackRock is a global investment management firm based in New York City. As of December 31, 2009, BlackRock’s assets under management total US$3.35 trillion across equity, fixed income, cash management, alternative investment, real estate and advisory strategies. Through BlackRock Solutions® — BlackRock offers risk management, strategic advisory and enterprise investment system services to a broad base of clients with portfolios totaling approximately US$9 trillion.<2> BlackRock is publicly-traded, with Bank of America, PNC Financial Services, and Barclays PLC holding 34.1%, 24.6%, and 19.9% respectively, with the remainder owned by institutional and individual investors, as well as BlackRock employees.<2>

The company acquired Barclays Global Investors in December 2009 under the BlackRock name, making it the largest money manager in the world.<3> The deal had been approved by Barclays shareholders and announced on June 11, 2009.

BlackRock Financial Management Inc. has been retained by the New York Fed to manage and eventually liquidate the assets held in a newly formed Delaware limited liability company (MAIDEN LANE III LLC) to fund the purchase of residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) from the securities lending portfolio of several regulated U.S. insurance subsidiaries of AIG.

I could go on and on, but you get the picture…

The FL Supreme Court has issued this order....which The Honorable Judge Meenu "The Rocket" Sasser apparently either did not receive or chooses to repeatedly ignore.

Here is a handy LINK to her website.

Let's give "The Rocket" a call @ (561) 355-7816

Post your discussions here...it's Friday...let's have some fun!

5. Question...
Hi Ellen...even if I admit to being a Tony Stewart fan...can you tell me if there is a discussion area here specific to Florida?

This is a national problem (understatement of the day) and all calls to Sasser and the FL AG WILL have an impact...but I want to make sure Floridians in particular take notice.

If by chance anyone does call - could they please share how the conversations go?

Thanks again!

16. There's one on this board but it's pretty quiet.
I prefer to go to local forums instead (metrojacksonvill.com, jaxoutloud.com, etc.).

Another idea to bring awareness is using Facebook, which is how awareness was brought to the teacher's bill SB 6 and other bad bills which the governor needs to veto.

7. The stories I could tell you about Florida Default Law. Oh, man.
And Erin Cullaro is great. I know her personally. Very stand up person, great attorney.

As for 90% of the foreclosures being filed by the mills (FDLG, Stern's office, Shapiro and Fishman, et al) that's dead accurate.

14. Yes, read an article a week ago about his issue here in Jax.
Can't put my fingers on it now, but suffice it to say it's not surprising in the least.

The things which people try to get away with down here is unreal.
