Once again I've cobbled together some info regarding foreclosure fraud...sorry to drone on...but it is destroying the country.
Houston we have a ProblemFlorida has a problem too! Here's a few fun quotes from this one:
"I would be guessing, but I would say that 90 to 95 percent of foreclosures are filed by the mills," said Legal Aid Attorney Lynn Drysdale.
(Could this be true?)
"We find that the documents that are necessary to get a final judgment are manufactured falsely and are not accurate documents," Drysdale said.
(No way!)
"The Atlanta law firm McCalla Raymer filed Bloomer's foreclosure lawsuit. The firm would discuss neither the number of cases it files nor Bloomer's case. Drysdale said this type of filing is characteristic of foreclosure mills."
(I wonder why?)
"The Florida Attorney General is now investigating Florida Default Law Group - one of the nation's largest foreclosure law firms."
(Floridians...I beg you to contact the AG! Erin Cullaro, former employee and robo-signer extraordinaire of FDLG now works in the Economic Crimes Division! Call the AG's "Fraud Hotline" @ 1-866-966-7226)
A spokesperson said:
"...For allegedly fabricating and/or presenting false and misleading documents in foreclosure cases."
Jacksonville Attorney Chip Parker, of Parker and Dufresne, is familiar with Florida Default Law Group. "They filed a foreclosure using the name of the wrong bank. We told them and they continued to file false pleadings in the case," Parker said.
"The problem for us is it creates title problems on properties," he said.
(Floridians please call your Clerk of Court and see if anyone is home!)
Here's a blatant example of what's going on in our courts:
