BP = The real terrorists among us
Edited on Fri May-21-10 01:24 PM by CountAllVotes
they have killed off an entire mass of land and water and finished off the livelihood of a whole group of American citizens that have relied on a particular form of employment for centuries. This will lead to further impoverishment of the beaten down Louisiana.

BP is worse than any terrorist to be found on a damn airplane with a box cutter.

Millions of sea creatures are dying along with our oceans and lands.

British Petroleum - the gift that keeps on terrorizing. Their weapon of mass destruction is their crap assed broken down oil rigs that they knew were broken down and crap assed. Did they care one damn bit?

Hell no is the answer and they still don't care as they now say that they have the spill stopped in mid-August after everything is dead and gone.

They are the terrorists they'd been seeking - right under their thumb right along with all of the other corporate greedy bastards out there (can we add Goldman Sachs to the list?).

I hope BP goes bankrupt soon. They are well on the way to having no more wells soon.

Lock them up and try them for war crimes would you Mr. President?!!!

:dem:

1. Obama won't do shit to them

Hell, they'll probably get some leases off North Carolina or Virginia. Heck, if the oil does make it up this way, then may as well go 'drill here, drill now' since everything will be fucked up anyhow.

That's going to be the new argument. If this spill spoils enough area, then the 'drill here baby' assholes can just say...'since everything is dead anyway, now is the time to go get even more oil'.

Corexit was reformulated again as the new and improved Corexit 9527, now with up to *38%* super-strength neurotoxin 2-butoxyethanol. But hey - why stop there?

Currently used in the Gulf of Mexico: COREXIT(R) EC9527A with a whopping 30 - 60% by weight of your favorite mutagen and hepatotoxic insecticide 2-butoxyethanol. Exxon was pretty much able to weasel out of any health and environmental testing so it's just never *been* tested at any strength, even back in the whimpy 13% Inopol days.

2-Butoxyethanol 111-76-2 30.0 - 60.0

Organic sulfonic acid salt Proprietary 10.0 - 30.0

Propylene Glycol 57-55-6 1.0 - 5.0

But both oil and oil spill dispersants are known to cause a variety of health effects in animals, she added, "including death and a variety of sublethal impacts including reduced growth, reproduction, cardiac dysfunction, immune system suppression, carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic effects and alterations in behavior."

Lisa Jackson, EPA, said that Corexit is at most one-tenth "as toxic as oil."

4. Militarism and Corporatism -- the 2 underpinnings of the USA these days.
We are hardly going to lock them up. Not unless there is a sea-change of public dissension and action.

5. That should be said of capitalism in general.

It is legalized criminality.

Expropriate without compensation.
