1. I'm not so sure. I have a concern that these people will convince themselves

to believe it's all okay, too. So many of them have come to openly show their racism and other selfish traits, it's become 'okay' in those circles.

We can't assume they think rationally and logically, or that facts make a difference. We've seen just the opposite.

2. He seems to be emulating his dad

He became a physician like his dad (even went to the same med school) and has mirror image opinions of his dad.

So the fact that he hasn't thought his opinions through isn't surprising to me. He is parroting what his dad does/believes. Which is interesting, but its not going to give you well thought out opinions.
