Tony Snow: "you're likely to see escalating levels of casualties"

http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L07172456.htm

BAGHDAD, May 7 (Reuters) - The United States said on Monday its military was expecting to suffer heavier casualties as it presses into "tougher neighbourhoods" in a bid to crush insurgency.

...

"We are getting to the point now with the Baghdad security plan where there is going to be real engagement in tougher neighborhoods and you're likely to see escalating levels of casualties," White House spokesman Tony Snow said.

"We've known that, been saying it all along. We're getting into some of the grittiest security operations," Snow said.

1. Oh, goodie! This is just what the American people want to hear.
More troop casualties. All for a war based on lies.

Even more reason for the Dems to not back down on the funding. The troops need to be brought home. Let Bush go over there and fight if he believes so strongly in his war.

9. But saying we is how they "support the troops"
that and putting a magnetic, made in Taiwan, yellow ribbon on the Escalade.

10. These people are good.
When one of our government officials can spin senseless death
into a sparkly ray of beaming progress--you just know it's time for
me to dig a hole and crawl in it with my blankey, stuffed
bunny and mug of zanax-laced cocoa.

Me go seepy now.

Rouse me when the bad people have gone away!
