Paul Backs Out Of Meet The Press Appearance
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/05/paul-backs-out-of-meet-the-press-appearance.php?ref=fpa

At the end of a rocky week, Rand Paul (R-KY) has canceled a planned interview on NBC's "Meet the Press" citing exhaustion. It's only the third cancellation from a major guest in 62 years, the show's Executive Producer Betsy Fischer said in an interview this afternoon.

She and host David Gregory have been attempting to convince Paul's press secretary and campaign manager all day, after hearing the interview they'd first arranged for on Wednesday was scrapped. Fischer said Paul's press secretary said he was exhausted.

"They called a short time ago and said he was very sorry and he needs to cancel," Fischer told me. She tweeted the news this afternoon and will be finding another guest.

(end snip)

Weasel.

4. Got a restaurant opening he needs to attend?
Sheesh, most unknown candidates would leap at the chance for a national platform from which to say any old thing they want. Especially sharing the stage with Dancing Dave, King of the Softball Question in the Land of No Follow-Ups. I wonder if Rand will proffer an explanation, or if it would present an unconstitutional infringement on his liberty to reveal his excuse?

What a nimrod.

Most candidates jump at the chance for a MTP interview. Very telling.

36. No, it's different.
Palin can't answer simple questions because she's ignorant and incurious.

Paul can't answer simple questions because he's ashamed of the conclusions that can logically be drawn from the answers he'd give.
