So Ed was shocked I tell you
that a transnational company had the power, apparently, to tell the US of A to go suck on an egg. Guess what folks, perhaps now people will realize the power of transnational corporations and why there is a problem with them. Chiefly why they need to be broken down into actual competitive units, you know capitalism... not what we have these days.

Ah corporatism alive and well in the United States...

5. Actually OECD economies
one, you can contain... a ruling ideology... that is another story.

Now the irony of a BRITISH company teaching this lesson to working class Muricans is not lost on me... anybody up for tea? I mean that in the historic sense and the sons of liberty context.

13. It has never been repealed
so technically it is still in the damn books... I wonder if a group of citizens could sue to get it implemented though.

8. I will absolutely support breaking these things up.
As somebody with intimate experience in multi-national corporations of various sizes, all efficiencies of scale are lost at about the 10,000 employee level. That should be the outside largest any corporation is allowed to become.

11. You and I know that
the age of Metternich is over. But perhaps this will wake the rest of the folks up.

I don;t know if you ever read cyberpunk fiction, but I think Gibson was WAY AHEAD of the power curve.
