1. Watch Gregory fawn over Repubs and never ask a followup?
Not me.
I might tune in for a little "dancing with KKKarl"

2. I would love to see Schuster do MTP. I wouldn't want to see Rachel give up her
show for MTP.

8. Rachel has more flexibility and control where she is
And anyone who would try to move her should be sent to BOAT JAIL!

I just wish she'd drop that dumb Senate campaign and stay at MSNBC. :)

3. Lawrence O'Donnell.
He'd be as prepared as Schuster or Madow, and he'd give the show a needed edge.

5. Has MSNBC/NBC let Shuster outta the cell they put him in for daring to interview with other network?
I really like Shuster, but he seems to have landed in a lot of trouble with the execs

6. Russert was mostly gone in August to Nantucket on vacation
and fill-ins like Andrea Mitchell would cover MTP while he was away.

It will be interesting to see if Lurch Gregory takes 3 to 4 weeks off like Timmeh. As Karl Rove's dance partner, I would bet that Lurch knows he cannot measure up to Dr. Maddow in any political discussion, knows that MTP ratings soared when Dr. Maddow was on, and that he fears bringing her on as a guest and he probably wonders if his boss will have Dr. Maddow host one or more August MTPs.

MTP management must know the ad dollars would come in big for Rachel as host. Stay tuned.

10. Let it die
Over the last 30 years its become nothing but a propaganda tool to benefit the DC power brokers.

11. I have refused to watch MTP since Dances with Rove took over. I'm sure many others have too.
How long before NBC figures out that they need a new host? One that has some objectivity?

14. I favor a panel over the sole host thing. They really should MEET THE PRESS
I'd love to see Rachel and Ratigan be on that panel and David would be cool too. They can keep Dances with Rove or bring in the Scar and Andrea Greenspan for true Reich Wingedness.

15. I agree with the panel
I think Tim Russert did a good job, the man knew issues inside and out. I just don't see anyone at NBC (except Dr. Maddow) being as smart.

I think having a panel is the only hope of getting one person up there who understands WTF is going on.

Gregory clearly isn't cutting it.

I went for decades without missing a MTP episode. As soon as I got a VCR, MTP was being recorded every week. Now I just watch clips on it's website. I can't tell you the last time I watched an entire episode.

16. Just get rid of Gregory. "Dancing With the Stars" for him and dear friend MC Rove.
Seen plenty of posts here about Gregory's friendships with Rove, Liz Cheney, and many other Repukes.

Get rid of him.

19. Send him to Boat Jail . . .
and bring in a hard-nosed journalist with robust interviewing skills. One willing to fact-check in real time and not let lies and distortions go unchallenged. There must be SOMEONE who can do that.

20. I don't know what Msnbc was thinking when they put Gregory in that spot.
He has NO personality & asks softball questions with little follow-up.

What made Tim successful is that he would get his guests to make news.

Tapper is doing a pretty good job at THIS WEEK putting his guests on the hot seat, making them squirm and initiating interesting dialog with his panel.
