Has the Obama administration put out a big appeal for international help?

I've looked around on the internet and haven't found an answer to this question.

I would think a news conference announcing an appeal for international help from the world, asking for scientific, governmental and other resource assistance, could be very helpful. Better late than never.

Let's see which nations are willing to help protect the environment.

If anyone has information on what has been done along those lines please post it along with links.

Thanks.

4. According to an earlier post, there are 4 countries qualified to help.
Unfortunately, I can't remember who they are...I'm thinking France and Norway, but can't vouch for them. Sorry...

7. The appeal for international help from "all" should go out now!

Why continue to diddle, daddle around as if this is not an emergency of highest order?

5. Get ready. It's going to be up to BP and the best chance is 50%
We are essentially screwed. The more I research this the more I realize what an utter disaster this is..

The top kill could blow out the well. The BOP is weak.

These are the possibilities:

1. The Top Kill works

2. The Top Kill goes wrong and further damages the BOP or worse blows out the well

3. We wait for the relief well and that has a 50% chance of working

In the meantime the air quality could be hazardous, the job losses enormous.

almost 2 and 1/2 times as deep as this oil well.

They have remote vehicles that can take pictures of the Titanic, open doors, retrieve dishes and books and explore the entire ship.

Yet they claim they have NO TECHNOLOGY that can be used at the well opening? I don't get it...
