Prison time for activist over green jobs banner. No kidding.
http://dc.indymedia.org/feature/display/132149/index.php

Despite the Gulf disaster, no one from BP has been arrested and sent to jail. Despite safety violations at coal mines, no one from Massey Energy has been handcuffed.

But today I write to inform you that one of America’s best global warming activists is probably facing several months of jail. He’s been convicted by a D.C. jury, and now he awaits sentencing on July 6th.

Why? Because he peacefully dropped two banners on Capitol Hill that said: “GREEN JOBS NOW” and “GET TO WORK.”

2. Any actions in the name of the environment or animal rights...you're a terrorist.
It's become well-ingrained. Get used to it. The AETA is already in place. I'm amazed that there isn't a self-standing EETA in place. Yet.

10. Don't worry. They've had those ideas for years.
Watch what happens if protests really get rolling. Those FEMA camps may come in handy after all.

7. And Bush is still free despite dropping bombs on innocent Iraqi civilians.
What kind of messed up justice system do we have in America where one can serve more time in prison for smoking weed in his own home than molesting a child or actually harming others?

13. Diseased empire. Dreadful, grotesque, perverse. So many allowing so few to control everything.

If Obama were a decent President of the people and the environment -- in context of the enormity of BP's devastation of nature and uprooted lives -- he'd pardon the Goddamn "banner waver."

14. A crime against nature is practically ignored, and a mere statement supporting job creation ...
... is illegal?

This country has officially gone crazy.

:wtf:
