BOMBSHELL: SC Blogger Admits AFFAIR With Palin's Pick For Governor |
|
:wow: " South Carolina political blogger Will Folks has admitted that he had an affair with Republican candidate for governor Nikki Haley.
Folks wrote on his blog Monday that he had an "inappropriate physical relationship" several years ago with Haley, before he was married.
<http://www.fitsnews.com/2010/05/24/will-folks-letting-the-chips-fall/>
Haley, who married her husband Michael in 1996, was recently endorsed by Sarah Palin.
Folks said he came clean with the affair after being targeted by Haley's political opponents, who were slowly leaking out the news "while simultaneously forcing either evasive answers or denials on my part or on Nikki's part."
"I refuse to play that game," he wrote. "I refuse to have someone hold the political equivalent of a switch-blade in front of my face and just sit there and watch as they cut me to pieces.
The truth in this case is what it is. Several years ago, prior to my marriage, I had an inappropriate physical relationship with Nikki. That's it."

7. And you think this junk "news" bears any relevance to politics, how? |
|
It's necessary that everyone have an opinion about how two people in South Carolina had sex a few years ago!

8. That is, if it was a few years ago |
|
However, since this "news" was being bruited about by Nikki Haley's political opponents in her quest for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, I would guess that the opponents are her fellow Republicans. And while I don't know, much less care, about Ms. Haley and her little affair, it will be interesting to see how long "a few years ago" actually was. Mr. Folks also has his own checkered personal history with women.
And maybe? Just maybe? We can start stuffing this "family values" bullshit in the bottom drawer and look for politicians and elected officials who will do something on behalf of families above and beyond meaningless, empty platitudes.

9. It wouldn't be interesting if they were doing it live on a porn channel right now. |
|
Is this candidate espousing some heavy moralist shit? Hypocrisy is an issue, nothing else involving consenting adults is. Because they're elected to make public policy and vote on laws, so what matters is what they're going to do in office, not who or what they fuck.

13. My understanding is that Ms. Haley is being fitted for the "family values" mantle |
|
And has been endorsed by the former half-term governor of a sparsely populated far northern state.

11. The hits keep on coming with these Republicans. |
|
This is why the entire "family values" meme that they've pitched for years is a sham. But then again, what is true about the GOP? Everything they've campaigned for turns into a disaster for the rest of the country.
Just chalk this incident up on the long tally of Republican transgressions that have happened whenever these cockroaches put their wrongdoing in public.

I guess I'm old fashioned, but if she is denying it, then he should not be admitting it first.
Whatever happened to etiquette?

and in some cases, they just keep it in the immediate family, literally.
