Any DU'ers ever taught ESL in another country? I went to a presentation |

about a program where you get a certificate, TOEFL I believe it was. After taking a 120-hr course for $1800.
I'm not planning to do it, but if I were out of a job I'd give it serious thought.

1. I've heard that you don't need a certificate to teach English in most countries. |

If you have a bachelor's degree from a university where courses were taught in English, you're good. There are outfits trying to rip people off by charging them for expensive lessons in how to teach English.

And I had no training before hand.
I'd highly recommend it. (the job, not necessarily the training, unless it is legit)
