CNN Preempts Presidential Press Conference to Cover Linday Lohan Trial
And this comes only after four straight hours of reading viewers' tweets and emails on-air.

The most trusted name in news.

1. "The news has been canceled"- Randi Rhodes
She is 100% correct. I went to J-School, graduating in 1998. Even then, our professors told us to work for the foreign press, go overseas and work or go to grad school and find something else.

I eventually found something else.

2. Sadly ---- YOUR reporting on their disgusting excuse of reporting news is more worthy of notoriety.

6. trust me... it's REALLY not that important... let's just make up something like she ran into a mall
and heisted the joint with a dozen miniature dobermans wearing clown outfits....

That's far more exciting.

7. Whenever I'm watching the news these days...
...I'm reminded of the UK comedy duo Mitchell & Webb's spoof:

http://www.reportr.net/2008/03/25/mitchell-and-webb-ask-what-do-you-reckon/

Sums up the whole cheap, personal-emotion-focused, user-generated nature of modern broadcasting, where gossip, feelings and "what you think" are far more important than investigation, analysis, and fact.

It's also hilarious.

8. This is why so many people voted for that moron George W. Bush for president.
People talk about American Idol more than they talk about political platforms and economic policy, things that actually impact their daily lives and paychecks.
