She's on TV now, from the oil spill site, telling everyone "If you made $50,000 last year & can't this year due to this spill, BP will write you a check for $50,000. If your business made $1,000,000 & can no onger do so, BP wll write you a Million $$ check. They will also reimburse the Fed. Gov't for all their efforts to clean up this mess."

Any attorney, and many non-attys, KNOW BPis certainly not going to give up $$ that easily!

Saying - BP needs to stop the leak "at the earliest convenience". She quickly corrected herself but I did a double take at my tv screen.

9. Although what she said would be the IDEAL, you & I know

tins simply won't happen that way! My guess is that every licensed attorney within 1,000 miles is already preparing law suits against BP, Halliburton, Ocean (whateve the name is), and any other co. they can link to this mess. Add to those attornies all the ones who are experienced with maritime lawand ave picked sides & are or already have filed suits by one company against the others. As Norman Goldman said on his radio show, "al these attornies are drooling at the obscene amount of money they're all going to make ove this!"

She said BP would make sure your business remains whole, or something to that effect. She actually sidestepped saying they would pay a number that high.
