If the Feds can seize MY property for growing Marijuana WHY
can't they take over BP when they poison an entire eco-system with their toxic product and dangerous, reckless methods they use to obtain it?

3. Then they need to find weed on the oil rigs. Of course they will probably hide that fact.

5. I'm fairly certain finding weed on a rig is not at all difficult.
:)

2. It kinda falls along the same lines as who Arizona's immigration law targets
Can't do anything against the corporation, they have money to line congress pockets. You don't.

4. Maybe if cars burned buds instead if gas you would get the biggest tax incentive ever!
Imagine how great commuting would be. Getting stuck in the Lincoln Tunnel would be like a vacation in Jamaica!

8. And you'll have laws that actually encourage the disconnection of catalytic converters!
And when I pull up at a red light alongside one of those monster pickups in my little Saturn wagon, and the truck's tailpipe is even with my driver's door window, I can quickly roll down the window and hope for a long signal!

15. Wouldn't even have to be the good stuff
Plain old non-stoney Hemp would be a much more efficient source for biofuels than MonSatan's mutant corn and wouldn't fuck up the planet like BP and Exxon.

7. Of course the Feds can stop a crime in progress!
And seize whatever they feel is related to the crime.

Guess what? You and I are not those "persons" who count in this country.

12. "the company and the oil industry have the know-how to halt the deepwater spill"
Do you want to stop the leak or do you want Obama to do reckless things that make people feel good?

13. Because we're "a nation of laws"...
...now, the fact that the laws are asinine doesn't seem to register with most folks.

So: there are draconian laws about marijuana, one of the least harmful mind-altering substances known, that in fact has many legitimate medical uses as well. On the other hand, the laws about oil spills, etc. are designed to protect the corporations who are subject to them.

Get it?

Neither do I.

But it does bring several thoughts to mind:

"Unequal protection"

"The law, in its infinite majesty, forbids both rich and poor from sleeping under bridges"

"The law is an ass"

It’s a big club and you ain't in it. You and I are not in The big club. By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe.

you don't own the weed (because its an illegal substance you have no right of ownership).
