2. That's a big leap. They are attempting to improve the situation
daily. If you can, listen to the Coast Guard Commandant - he explains what they have done and what they are doing now.

5. Which amounts to ....................... nothing.
You go be impressed by their efforts. I will continue to be impressed by their blazing incompetence.

8. Oil production expert on Coast Guard Commandant Thad Allen: "Thad Allen should be fired...
"Coast Guard Commandant Thad Allen should be fired. Today. Now. This minute. Before he can give another press conference echoing what BP said not five minutes before him. Then he should be fucking court martialed and fucking sent to prison before BP can give him a goddamn job. He's a shameless piece of shit."

Why don't you do a little research. Even the booming operation is a scam.

13. I wasn't very impressed by him. He has vast experience on oil spills,
but seems to be too accepting of what BP conveys to him. Almost kind of naive.

9. I watched the presser and they are working from all angles to get it stopped.
It was well explained for those who watched, as you said.

10. Yep, a telling moment.
All the naysayers sitting there and none of them could come up with an answer. All they have are demands for things they know nothing about.

12. Let BP plug the leak (but watch them closely)
Let the feds take over the cleanup. Are you implying we don't have anyone who knows how to deploy and supervise boom?

14. No....I am saying, "should it be government's responsibility...
......to REPLACE BP's responsibility?" (clean-up)

Maybe Cheney's Halliburton (Oil Field Services) could help ($$$) find a solution. :sarcasm:

BP made the mess, let them clean it up.

6. I'm glad they had the briefing...
...could only catch parts (dratted work anyway!).

However I did notice one telling moment, or at least it seemed so to me. The Admiral was describing the pipe that was inserted into the broken pipe and why it took 3 tries: He said "The pipe we inserted ..."

I did a double take. "What you mean 'WE', Admiral?"

Talk about cozy with BP...
