Does anyone know if anyone has asked NBA player Tony Parker about his feelings about the results of the French elections? For anyone wondering why I would ask that question, Parker is from France. I am just wondering if he has any opinion about the elections at all and if so how he feels.
On another note how do the French that post at DU feel about the election results. What do you think cost Royal the election? I heard she had four kids and was not married. Some people, including Bill Maher said the French people did not care, but is it possible that a large number of French people did care. Was it Royal's platform? I had heard that some major names on the left abandoned Royal.

1. I think being a woman, and a pretty one, hurt her. |

Based on what I've read, you had a sort of "security mom" phenomenon going down in this election.
They took a look at this pretty girl and swung over to the big, bad man to "protect" them.

2. The economy was the big issue in the elections |

Sarkozy was seen as the candidate who could improve the economy in France.
I doubt the French will be happy with the changes Sarkozy has in store for them.
