The Missouri River is going to flood here later this week.
Too much water out west and up north in Iowa, going to crest 12 feet over flood stage next Monday. I do believe the drought is broken.

2. Are you in the St. Louis area? Just caught the report on the
NBC Nightly News and said the exact same thing to my husband. I'm figuring Thursday or Friday...

4. I live in Warren County pretty close to the Big Muddy.
Worst thing that could happen here is a flash flood on the local creek which is up already due to the river rising. Thank goodness I don't live, like my neighbors, right along Lake Creek!

14. Am not sure, this last weekend was "Walleye Weekend" and I'm just now coming out of hiding.
Lots of drunks driving pickups with big boats behind them, good time to stay home with the DVDs.

15. I don't blame you.
We drove up from KC to Des Moines, over to Cedar Rapids and back again. There were motorcycles everywhere. And racing fans.

5. it's bad
I'm watching the local news and people are beginning to evacuate from some of the Missouri river districts near Kansas City.

The Missouri river is expected to crest to 38.8 feet in Kansas City on Wednesday morning - flood stage is 32 feet.

12. It is here
It's already driven my mother in law from her house along with the entire town where she lives. She lives at the confluence of the Nodaway and the Missouri, The Missouri is so full that it has the Nodaway out of it's banks.
The good news is the rain has stopped, and the river is expected to crest sometime tomorrow.
