It's difficult at times for many people
9/11 seems like 20 years ago to me even though bush keeps bringing it up at every opportunity . I know the people who lost family and friends are fully aware and still deal with personal loss each day and others who suffer from the effects or the air quality continue without much help or help .

It seems so surreal to remember this and to live in these years that followed 9/11 , so surreal in fact that sometimes I go numb just thinking about just how insane this country controlled by the bush admin has become .

I read posts and hear people in public and the conditions and this war and death seem to be the furthest things from their minds , they never bring it up and just go on with each day as if nothing is happening outside their little world they live in .

It is for these reasons I tend to believe many , perhaps most people have no idea of how bad things have become .

It is not surprising with the wonderful news media out there and all the everyday distractions .

THis is one thing that makes this time so much different than when Vietnam was going on .

Just ranting here , I listened to Mike Malloys lost episode the day of shock and awe and it just brought me back to the beginning of this horror show which continues on today .

1. 9/11
That is why I still believe they had something to do with 9/11, look at the anthrax scare,
people were so 'frightened' by a bunch of hijackers with box cutters, that this administration
took that and ran with it....only now are we finding out about things that they have done to
disrupt this great country of ours.

2. Why is "frightened" in quotes?
That bunch of hijackers with boxcutters managed to kill an awful lot of innocent people. It happened so easily that I have no problem understanding why so many people were (and are) frightened.

3. Frightened
As you said it, happened so easily

Where everything was either 'down' that day, or no response from our military or similar
tooooo many coincidences.
