Jindal puts off book to focus on oil spill

2010-05-26 14:20:00

Louisiana's Indian American Republican Governor Bobby Jindal has asked that the release of his forthcoming political book be delayed so he can focus on the Gulf Coast oil spill, according to his publisher.

The book - 'Real Hope, Real Change: New Conservative Solutions to Rescue America' - was originally slated for a July, 2010 release.

'Regnery Publishing is postponing the release of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal's upcoming book, 'Real Hope, Real Change,' at the request of Governor Jindal,' Marji Ross, president of the conservative publishing house was cited as saying by CNN Tuesday.

'We understand and support the Governor's commitment to focus 150 percent of his attention on the BP oil spill and its impact on Louisiana and the Gulf Coast,' she added.

A synopsis on Amazon.com describes Jindal's book as a mixture of biography and political philosophy.

Edit: I bet he removes the chapter entitled "Drill, baby, drill!"

1. "New" 'conservative' solutions? WTF?
Edited on Wed May-26-10 06:08 AM by SpiralHawk
When did the so-called 'conservative' republicons ever do anything conservative? They are Faux Conservative Feaks O' FAIL as they have amply demonstrated.

Republicon Homelanders squandered the huge budget surplus they were given like drunken frat boys. They borrowed-and-spent America's economy into the crapper for generations to come. They totally trashed the environment. They wide-stance pissed all over the concept of moral values. And they had no solutions -- old or otherwise- to anything. They just inflicted their EPIC FAIL on our once honorable and prosperous nation.

Now Bobby J -- yet another chickenhawk republicon -- is 'claiming' to have 'new' Faux Conservative solutions? Bwaaa ha ha ha ha.

Sorry, Americans won't buy that line of diaper-clad, rentboy republicon BS again.

2. 'Conservative' by definition is opposed to anything new.
More RepubliCON doublespeak.

6. To be generous, he doesn't exactly have time for a book tour right now.
This close to the publishing date I'd assume the books have already gone to the printer, my guess is the delay has more to do with his ability to take the time to promote the book than with tinkering with ill-timed content.
