Chancellor Rhee, accountability for everyone except me!

Michelle Rhee the tough talking DC Chancellor who on Monday bragged to Sacramento on Monday about holding people accountable may need to re-think this strategy since it doesn't seem to apply to her. According to the Washington Post the budget for 2011 needs some explaining that Rhee hasn't yet explained. "In fiscal year 2010, there were 14 FTEs for athletics. In the proposed budget for FY 2011, there are 87.7 FTEs (see page 44 on this document). What kind of work will these 73.7 new employees be doing? When reached Tuesday evening, DCPS Athletic Director Marcus Ellis was taken aback. "I have how many?" he asked, adding he had no idea where the extra 73.7 positions came from. "That's got to be a mistake." A message left for a spokesman for Chancellor Michelle A. Rhee was not immediately returned.
