2. It looks like the leak where the riser is kinked

3. Yeah, actually I don't know what it really is

other than it's not the single large pipe that's laying on the ocean floor

6. the riser comes out of the top of the BOP, takes a 90* kink (where these leaks are)

and then lays over onto the ocean floor, where the broken end is gushing the major amount of oil.

4. lighter color. is that mud?

5. There are alot of gasses/methane too.

8. whatever it is, it's getting bigger. the two plumes in the right foreground have merged into

one big plume.

11. that seems to be something of a function of the way the plume changes its spread

coming out of those top leaks; when water current (or whatever) moves the plume in a different direction it seems to reveal that those two holes remain seperate.
I understand that there is a lubricant component to this mud mix; I wonder what the abrasion factor is (if any)

10. I'm guessing this is backpressure mud. Hopefully more of it is going down the hole

than leaking out the top.

9. DOES anyone know if the material coming out on the cam right now is oil or

is that mud? The color is lighter than the oil plume has been. But that could be the light from the ROV. Comments?

12. they are drilling a relief well but there is no platform for workers

how will all of that work?
