PHOTOS: Bristol Palin Throws A Tea Party In Harper’s Bazaar
Verena von Pfetten | 3:57 pm, May 26th, 2010

Harper’s Bazaar is continuing its quest to be the go-to magazine for every singe pop culture reference out there by featuring Bristol Palin in a tea party-themed spread for their June issue. While the mag describes the editorial as “charming,” we think it’s kind of hilarious and sincerely hope that Bristol was in on the joke.

As for the fashion, the former first daughter of Alaska models gowns by Carolina Herrera, Lanvin, Isaac Mizrahi, and Michael Kors.

Our favorite part of the accompanying article might be the description of Bristol’s closet and the ensuing exchange between mother and daughter:

7. Can anyone possibly explain the continued fascination with
this family of obvious grifters? It is hard enough to understand the constant obsession with her mother, but wtf explains the interest in this girl, who has done nothing but publicize her youthful mistakes?

this article made me want to cry  :grr:--

http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/celebrity.news.gossip/05/26/bristol.palin.levi.stranger.ppl/index.html?hpt=T2">Bristol Palin: Levi Johnston is 'a stranger to me'

"I thought I would be somewhere warm at college with my friends. But that was defnitely not possible with having Tripp," she says.

Rather than attending a warm school, she is working as a medical assistant in a local dermatologist's office while taking business classes at a community college. "I don't ever have time for friends or anything like that," she says.

If she's holding down a REAL job, I'm a monkey's uncle.

But yet she has time to traipse all over the country and get her picture splashed all over the media, as WELL as work as a lobbyist for her mother? All the while making comments about how she wished she'd never gotten pregnant? She's damn lucky her son's still small. Wait until he gets to be older and his friends start telling him what his mother said.

Yeah, her life is SOOOO hard...":grr:

(Sorry, I've had a long, hard day, and a worse week, just needed to blow off some steam....)

16. I thought the same thing.
I teach in an alternative high school, and I've had several students tell me that they weren't wanted, that their parents wished they hadn't been born. It rips my heart out every time I hear it.

18. Let us not forget this hard-working "Mama Grizzly" is earning $30K a pop in speaking engagements.
Edited on Wed May-26-10 08:32 PM by political_Dem
That doesn't sound like any working mom I know--especially if they are putting themselves through school while trying to get day care for their kids.

And community college students, let alone university students don't have enough money to afford to wear designer gowns. They are too busy trying to pay for classes and books--both of which are in short supply these days.

So, I echo the question asked by another poster, what type of message is this young lady truly trying to send?

Is it: if you're the governor's daughter you can open your legs like a trollop, get pregnant, be offered the chance to siphon money off of real, hard-working moms and other working people in this country by expounding on trivialities?
