No Unity for Connecticut Republicans

Former Rep. Rob Simmons (R-CT) -- who recently dropped his bid for the Republican Senate nomination in Connecticut -- tells National Review Online that he does not think that Linda McMahon (R) can win the race against Richard Blumenthal (D).

Said Simmons: "No, I don't think so at all."

And if McMahon asks Simmons for help on the trail, he says he'll say he is "preoccupied." :spray:

1. HAHAHA Love it
It's nice to see her campaign has started a bit bumpy as well

The nicest thing I will say about her getting the nomination is, she's not a tea bagger, nor is she a religious nut

4. I have to agree with Simmons. That doesn't happen often.
She might work downstate (that's really NE NYC culturally speaking). But her history is SO not Yankee CT. (And I don't mean baseball).

She's just ... distasteful. And her political wrestling moves are likely to backfire on her.

People know Blumenthal. They know he's sort of a nerd. They know he's done a good job - perhaps great job - as AG. And the man is everywhere - no stranger to the electorate. He's known. He might make mistakes, but he's known. She's brash and filthy rich (and that flaunting it stuff is just not done in old New England society) and sort of off-putting.
