I heard this in the form of a rumor. I'm sorry, if it's not true.

I did get a glimpse.
I was hoping they would be covered in fake black/red oil.

There is a custom somewhere in Africa when someone economically devastates and/or cheats a family, the cheated family sits on the cheaters doorstep naked.

It was a step taken in Africa against an oil conglomerate. It was long ago, pre- 9/11. They did get some international attention and the "Shame with Nakedness" caught on.

I'm a dork to forget the details of this.
Back when the wars started I participated here in Sonoma County in a group-naked spelling of the word, "TRUTH." I was part of the letter "R."
We all learned about the African demonstrations that day.
