Many of the folks there thought Matt Simmons had lost his mind, specifically the bit about the leak 5 to 6 miles away.

These same people were, however, equally skeptical of the ability of the top kill to actually stop the leak, but for different reasons than indicated here.

I personally have no idea as I am not at all qualified to judge. Just passing along info I saw there deep in a large discussion today.

It is the best discussion of these matters I have seen anywhere. The first pics I saw from the explosion itself came from there as well.

There's a large percentage of people posting there in the business. They don't always agree, but it's given me a better handle on all this than anything else.
