Rick Sanchez shows that BP is lying their asses off!!!
Edited on Fri May-28-10 02:36 PM by CoffeeCat
Rick Sanchez on CNN is ticked. He's talking, right now, about how
there was a sixteen-hour break in the Top Kill procedure. Mud was
not being pumped during this sixteen hours yesterday.

However, Sanchez reported yesterday between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., on
his CNN program, that the pumping was happening and the Top Kill procedure was
happening. He had the video of it running behind him!

Turns out, nothing was being pumped. The procedure had stopped. However,
that's not what BP was reporting. Sanchez cut to a shot of a BP spokesperson
who repeatedly said, yesterday afternoon, that mud was being pumped in.

It was not.

I'm sick of the lies. I'm disgusted that BP is putting on a show for us and
only trying to control information and cover up the truth.

I'm also intrigued. Sanchez showed the life feed of the oil leak yesterday. It
showed mud flowing. We all watched that live feed, hoping to see some sign that
Top Kill was working. So, if the mud pumping was halted for sixteen hours, what
was that video of? What exactly WERE we watching?

Any chance that BP is providing misleading, or even fake footage? How could we
be watching mud flowing, when the mud flow had stopped for sixteen hours?

Can someone explain all of this? I am not an engineer. I'm just trying to
understand and so many things don't add up.

4. It has appeared so most of the time to me
There is a little "hiccup" and then it all cycles again.

BP is utterly untrustworthy and that's why many here can't stomach them being in charge of jack that concerns our general well being.

5. If that was a loop...
...then someone will figure out that it was.

I can't even imagine that BP would be THAT dishonest. We know
they're greedy, reckless bastards, but showing America a loop
in order to cover up something nefarious--is going into crazy
territory.

Is there serious talk that this might be the case?

7. The reason mud kept flowing yesterday after the pumping shutoff is...
Edited on Fri May-28-10 07:58 PM by jimlup
that the pressure in the well head is tremendous. They pumped a whole lot of mud into the well through a very long riser from the sea surface. There is a heck of a lot of mud in that pipe under very high pressure so even if they cut it off at the top it continues for a long time.

The hope was that the mud (being heavier than the oil) pushes the oil column down or at least stops it. They may well have done that though not enough to equalize the pressure enough to pump in concrete. As a result what we were seeing was the mud previously pumped in coming out of the kink in the riser above the BOP. The pressure of the gusher and the riser delivering the mud from above pushed it out.

BP has been very evasive but they have been "telling the truth" just no the "whole truth" they don't comment on how it is working or not working and they don't seem to be providing the public with any information on the relative pressures of the pumped mud and the oil gusher. These measurements exist - they just are not releasing them.
