You Want Real Progressives in Offices? Well here is one you can help
Edited on Fri May-28-10 03:03 PM by SargeUNN
Jeff Farias Progressive Talk Show host and an activist in Phoenix Arizona is running for Justice of the Peace. It isn't an office that draws national attention or that nationwide we can vote on, however, it is Jeff's first attempt in running for an office. Considering the state of politics here in Arizona right now, and so many upset with Arizona, I thought I would let you know and maybe you would like to show support for Jeff. Here is his website http://jeffforjustice.com/

1. Isn't Jeff Farias a 9-11 twoofer?

3. Jeff doesn't believe the official story of 9-11 but
he wants the facts about it out and documented. As for any extremist views on 9-11, he doesn't have them. I have know Jeff for years and worked closely with him for years, he is a fair and intelligent person who cares about people, his area, and his state. He is one that will not look at the color of their skin, but at the facts of any case, the law as it applicable, and what solution is best in each case. One thing I have learned of Jeff, he is one that tries to evaluate and consider all factors.

Remember this is Arizona where SB1070 will come in if not stopped. Jeff's district has a large Hispanic population and one that must be able to depend on a Justice of the Peace who won't just rule against them due to the skin. It is important to have a Justice that doesn't think the way the Russell Pearces, Jan Brewers, and Joe Arpaios do.

8. NO that is not true the real story is this
since I was also involved in that pathetic episode let me set it straight.

Jeff was fired because he spoke out when the Drobnys fired Manzo the CEO who actually had put KPHX in the black financially for 6 months. The Drobnys didn't want to lose the tax write off. When they found out they couldn't move the equipment they leased KNUV and put a guy who was in sales and about to get fired for his poor record with the station in charge. Jeff tried to get them not to move the station due to lose of advertisers and the fact many listeners would go awhile trying to find the station on the dial. Shelton told Jeff he was fired and then lied that Jeff quit. Well there are recordings of that conversation and at the end of Jeff's show you can hear Shelly firing Jeff.

I was called by Anita Drobny asking me to stay on because she thought I had quit to side with Jeff, but in fact I was told that I had to choose a side even though I had stated I didn't want to be involved since I was more interested in my purpose of doing the show. Anita told me during that conversation that Jeff had quit but when I told her I had heard the recording of Shelly firing Jeff she changed the subject.

So the real reason Jeff was fired had nothing to do with Politics, but with the Drobnys trying to keep their tax write off.

2. He's got 5 state reps endorsing him.
Ironically, the AZ Democratic Party seems to be unaware of his candidacy, but then awareness is not their strong suit.

5. I read so much here about people who
wants Progressives in office. Who opposes SB1070 and wants it gone. Well here is a chance to put in a Justice of the Peace who opposes SB1070 and will give the Hispanic people a fair deal. You want to help make a difference in Arizona? Well this one way to get it done.
