Wall Street Thinks BP is going to be just Fine...Thank You...

This chart shows that the annalists who follow BP really have not done much..In fact..one from Oppenheimer raised BP to a buy yesterday..

The Gulf Coast and the U.S.A. might get screwed, but buy BP..(at least according to Oppenheimer)

...By the way..on the chart..anything close to a 2.0 is considered very good to a buy..note that the over all rating has not gone up much since this..
............. event..

A number above 3.8 would be considered poor risk ..

1. The street always operates this way
When the big guys want out they get their paid for shill anal ysts to upgrade the crappy stock so they can try to lure the rube little investors to buy it from them.

2. Short sell?
Disclaimer: Total newbie, I don't actually know how these things work. I understand "buying and selling stock".

3. DJ 13 could be right, it might be a sucker play...
but my gut says that some smart money will come in soon. No one on the street sees bankruptcy for BP..

It it takes another two months to stop this thing, that is what I think will happen. (I am in a very small minority on that)

4. I am watching the stock.
When it goes up I will buy a few shares. The dividend is over 7%. First I have to be sure that it has hit bottom.

7. I realize that people need to make money however they can
but isn't buying stock in BP the same as giving your tacit approval of the company, no, more it's actually giving them your investment dollars to encourage them to do what they do? It's signing up with them as a partner, one who now benefits from anything they do that makes the company money. Same as investing in Wal-Mart, it's saying you approve of the company and you associate with them.

As much as I need money, I WILL NEVER stoop this low.
