So here's an interesting thought re: Sestak:
If you were playing 8-dimensional chess, you might do this:

You welcome the Republican-lite Senator's conversion to Dem...he votes with you more or less to prove himself to his new party...you get your health care legislation thru with his help...he faces a primary challenge from the 'left' (if you want to call it that)...you support him in the early going of course...you call the real Dem and you say this to him:

Joe, you're a great guy...we like you...listen carefully...I'm going to offer you a deal to stay out of the race...I'm going to offer you essentially NOTHING...you'll refuse right? Good boy...see you soon in the Senate side...

You then leak it to the press that he's been offered a job to stay out of the race...BRIBERY! IMPEACHMENT! DEATH TO DEMOCRATS! are the cries heard from Republicans and Tweety (who, of course just 'has' to play Limbaugh nightly on his stupid show...)...it simmers for a while all the flavor cooking into it...then...you release the info...the former President offered you a BS advisory post for no dough...now there's a BRIBE! Meanwhile...moran rethugs have shot their collective wad over nothing, rien, nada...all that posturing and there's a vacuum.Oh shit, they say...they get that dipshit Issa to go onto the floor and ask for a special prosecutor and lo and behold! Bush Jr.'s own man says no fucking way; how dumb are you?...Sestak regains his footing, the Rethugs are out of ammo, and Toomey that cretin former restaurant owner coasts to a dramatic loss to a three-star admiral.

Then again...maybe not...but hoo nose???

I mean, as opposed to believing that the Obama White House truly expected the majority of Pennsylvanians would elect a former Republican!

2. Arlen didn't have a chance...
progressives hate him, anti-Semites hate him, RWers hate him, everyone hates his wife.

5. I like my real based thinking though
:-)

Now if there is any to this chess game, a graduate student in fifty years will have all kinds of fun deciphering through it... assuming the emails survived that is.

9. I like it
doesn't mean I believe it but like you say, "hooo nose?" :)

Either way this works out ok for Sestak - they tried to play Washington politics with him and he said no ... and as for the WH and Clinton, this issue is about as big as a pimple on a gnat's ass. But Issa looks like a shmuck. again.
