Steve King: Muslim Groups, Unions 'Calling The Shots At The Justice Department'

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) claimed in a statement on Friday that Muslims and unions had effectively infiltrated the Justice Department and were steering its decision to prepare a challenge to the Arizona immigration law.

From King's statement:

"The ACLU, SEIU and the Muslim American Society are calling the shots at the Justice Department. The 'draft complaint' DOJ has prepared to challenge the Arizona law is a 'cut & paste' version of the class-action lawsuit the ACLU filed in United States District Court on May 17th." <...> No other conclusion could be reached unless Holder releases the Department's 'draft complaint.' But when it becomes public, all of America will know what I know today. The ACLU and their radical affiliates are dictating the policy of the White House and the Department of Justice."

2. The Rage Of "Religious Radio"...
I caught the end of a "talk show" here in Chicago a couple weeks back where the "guest" had written a book about how the "Islamofacists" had burrowed themselves into the government. The "host" then made the claim that she knows that President Obama has to be a "muslim" cause he admitted to reading the Koran and why would you do that if you didn't believe in it. Then she goes on to say not only that the CIA and FBI are "infested" with "muslims" but that she had "learned" that Valerie Jarret had lived in Iran as a teen. Of course, not a lick of evidence (other than promoting this shitstain's book) but passed along as "fact".

This is an attempt by the GOOP to re-energize the religious right...amp up the "Islamofacist" machine that worked so well a couple years ago. Yes it sounds stupid and goofy but it's following a script that is being passed along to fundies.
