Like the first day the leak began. Without doing any studies of what the effects of building them would be. That way they could have all blamed President Obama for all the oil that came up onto the shores east of Louisiana in a few weeks.

Anyone with half a brain realizes that these Rethug governors conspired with one another and made that plan. That is why jindal stated he was going to build the berms over a month ago without a permit but he never did.

Everything is all about politics for these scum isn't it? Thats their bottom line.

It became political as the fire was still burning on the platform, Rushbo was claiming it was "eco-terrorists" who blew up the rig and Rove started with the "Obama's Katrina" meme. It took weeks for the word BP to work into their lexicon and then it came in the Paulbot Jr. form of Obama having his "boot against BP's throat" (what is it with these people and boots??). They could play the gotcha game cause you had media types like Tweety and Anderson Cooper and Faux Noise all screaming that nothing wsa being done...they wanted the bullhorn moment...cue the rushpublican spinners.

Today's rushpublican party is an attention game...each pol tries to find a way to get their name into the news cycle...lie, decieve, spin...whatever it takes. Right now it's Piyush's 15 minutes...
