"BP will recover every drop of oil in the Gulf"- Tony Hayward, BP CEO
How arrogant and stupid can a person be to make a claim that 'every drop of oil from the oil disaster will be recovered'. How can someone so stupid become a CEO of a corporation?

BP had no clue what to do in the event of an oil leak at 5,000 feet underwater. BP executives had no contingency plans. They had no equipment or technology to even safely drill at those depths. So why were they allowed to do so?

It's obvious from day one of the BP disaster they were covering up the actual amount of oil spewing into the Gulf. But they hid that information in an attempt to lessen their liability. All they care about is themselves. And they are incapable of accepting responsibility or having any concern for the victims of their irresponsible acts.

So how can someone become a CEO of a major corporations when they have no clue what they are doing? How can they reach such heights of power in a corporation if they have no responsibility for what their corporations do?

2. He is in no way clueless.
He is saying what his PR team and army of attorneys are telling him to say. The typical American is listening to these sound bytes, ignoring the dull technical analysis and turning into American Idol in the full belief that this isn't the catastrophe that the "left wing media" is making it out to be.

Turning into American Idol.

Right.

3. We are all stupid peasants to him.
He is one of our betters.

Do not question him, as he is superior to you and me, so everything he says is the absolute truth.

23. According to the Book of BP in my Corporate BIBLE:
Hayward 20: 3-6 "For it is stated in the book of BP, thee shalt have no other gods before me, for I am your corporate master. I, Tony of BP, am your god and I shalt enact great harm upon those who fail to succumb to my will. Thee shall bow down before me and obey my every command. Thee shalt not provoke me to anger, for if you continue to remain my loyal, subservient slaves, I will consider not inflicting great harm upon thee."

You might have misunderstood him on that.

He was talking about the American people. Don't you know.

Climate change accelerated, food chains destroyed, lives lost, lives changed forever.

He needs to go to jail for murder. He may not have pushed the switch, but through past history bp has killed people through cost cutting and no regard for safety, so to me that shows intent. Let him pay a lot of personal money for this crime and spend time in jail until all things are back to the way they were.

13. That is *EXACTLY* how people become executives. By feeding the world their bullshit.
If you can get away for it for a few years, you become CEO.

20. Every post people make on the oil spill they should
add that the execs need to be tried for murder and more.

Say it until everyone is saying it, so no politician can run from it. Make the execs pay the price and not just in money. If the do not do jail time things like this will never stop.

24. I agree 10 billion percent. They need life sentences, no parole. They are evil...
I'm sick of sociopaths destroying my country. Corporations have destroyed everything in their paths like conquering armies, with each army having its own general, or CEO.

Countries are confined to its borders, but not so for corporations. Citizens have allegiances to their fellow countrymen, while corporations have allegiance to no one. They are driven by evil greed to invade, conquer, dominate and destroy. One by one countries will fall leaving corporations as the oppressors of all men...
