marks?

I'm sorry to be testy, but the information coming out from some sources is just not attributed and has too often been plain wrong. Any clarification of this video you can give I appreciate. On my computer screen the "Oil slicks or sheen (?)" areas within the dotted lines look no different than any other areas.
