who does this grayson guy think he is? |
|
I'm a liberal democrat and am appalled by the Bachmanns and Kings from the right. But as much as I despise those types, we have to hold our own party to the same standards we hold others. Grayson is putting up a sign in front of his office in four foot letters in neon. Not only is he a freshman representative but he is in a competitive district. If this was someone like John Lewis or John Conyers who have been there 20+ years then maybe they could do that. I liked his support on health care but he is giving us a black eye.

Yeah, me, too. That's why I like Grayson.
He is not giving "us" a black eye, but thanks for your concern.
There are Democrats who make me angry, but they're not the ones thoroughly pursuing Democratic ideals.

7. A better question is "Where Does RobertPlant think he is"? |
|
It would be hard to find an elected official who better represents the spirit of DU than Alan Grayson.
And while I don't agree with every policy position he takes I still wish we had 100 more AGs in Congress.
Did you really expect to find a bunch of people at DU ready to dump on Grayson?

10. I liked it how he supported health care reform |
|
But his proposed neon signage represents the same inflated egos that made me criticize someone like Joke R Piehole for his million dollar bus. Not only that but he needs to be careful because not only is he a freshman representative but he is in a swing district.

The beacon of bold light his constituency and the nation have come to depend on him being?
Either way, I rather like the idea that he could mock the ritz and glitz politicking has become in this fashion. I absolutely disagree about the black eye, in case you haven't guessed that by now. Washington is a pasty faced bunch of rich prissy protocol pushing panderers who need some shaking up to remind them who they are supposed to be working for.
Go Grayson!

16. I drive past Congressman Issa's office on highway 78 and he has |
|
3 or 4 foot high lettered signs on the side of the building.
Its hard to make a judgement on the sign without seeing it but the expense is modest.
It should be consistent with other signs in the area.
I'll leave response to your other points to others.
