ANOTHER example of voters being ied to & misled.
I was just reading the info on the candidates running for office here in Ga. On Carol Porter's site (she's running for Lt. Gov.) there's an article describing an interview where Carol was asked if she was pro-life or pro-choice. She answered "nneof the above". She said that the pro-lifers CLAIM that their position helps reduce the # of abortions, but during the last session the elected Republican was allowed to introduce an anti-abortion bill #SB 529, onlyafter a backroom agreement that it would never make it to the Senate floor!

http://carolporter4ga.wordpress.com/2010/05/26/asked-if-she%e2%80%99s-%e2%80%98pro-life%e2%80%99-or-%e2%80%98pro-choice%e2%80%99-carol-porter-picks-none-of-the-above/

I HOPE this info gets to all the Georgians who consistantly vote for a Pub candidate ONLY because they say they're pro-life but in fact are only using the voters for their own political gain. I'v always thought these politicians were just using the voters and not really intending to eve do anything to advance this issue, but this is the first time I'v eever heard someone actually state it to the Press! I still have some more reading to do, but as of right now, Carol has my vote because she had the courage to tell the truth.

1. It's the same thing with religion. Look at how many people
there really are that don't care about it at all. If you ask them, they might say they are Christian, but don't even really think about it much. The only time they go to a church is for weddings or memorial services.
I would imagine about the same percentage of politicians are the same. Most of them are forced to put on a show of being religious.
Pro-choice politicians would be likely to do their best to minimize the number of abortions, even if the pro-life people didn't exist.
Nobody wants to end up having an abortion. With the best education and birth control options available, we would have as few as possible.
