and this is an observation... any of you who served probably noticed this too, higher the rank, the least capable people are of doing a good, sharp salute...
Yes I was doing a little of this LOL...
At least we should have some good music.

It's been 39 years since I got out, but I can still give a perfect regulation salute. What is it with the top brass? They are constantly saluted--and have to return the salutes--throughout their careers. I guess practice doesn't always make perfect.

but I pushed boots (Mexican Red Cross, very paramilitary) and never rose high up.
As my hubby pointed out, the ones that do actually care...
He is a Retired Navy Chief.
