If the Obama administration was as much like the Nazis as rightwing nutjobs say it is...

...then there would be a BP executive being killed by firing squad each day that the leak isn't stopped.

"Hayward... you're next."

Lucky for the BP executives, the Obama administration is nothing like what the rightwing nutjobs claim it to be.

1. Using the Nazi comparison does not very often look at ideology.
I don't call people Nazis, or not very often.

But if you want to know who are like the Nazis, you have to look a the ideology the Nazis followed.

Lack of dignity for all people.
Thinking that man with his faults should decide who has children
Thinking one group is better, or using those thoughts to create followship.
Ideas of dehumanizing by claims of superiority until people can be treated like animals without empathy.

And a few other ideas. The Nazi problem is an ideology that was behind them, and still could be behind many people when you look at many actions.

Some more so then others, but you see it in any eugenics programs that think one group should prosper and not another for reasons of population manipulation. Or in areas of sterilizations or scarcity to control populations.

The Nazi issue is of the ideology they have, and how that created a terrible effect. Instead of thinking on how to avoid those thoughts, people use the visceral label without thinking about what different groups do that have some of that similiar ideology, and in that hide the Nazi ideology in many cases.

If someone mentions that terrible group, it should include the context of what ideas and thoughts not the label. And it is actually better to think and discuss on the better thoughts of empathy and caring then those thoughts in my view.

2. Where do you get your information about NAZIs?
The sophisticated Holocaust actions, the killing of members of certain minorities were just one aspect of NAZIism.

I do not think that Obama is a NAZI. By no means.

But I'm wondering whether you could perhaps define the term NAZI in some way that isn't just limited to the Holocaust.

The Holocaust was atrocious, but the NAZIs could only conduct the Holocaust because of the ways in which they took and wielded power and because of the ways in which they obtained the submission and obedience of the German people.

So, where do you get your information about NAZIism? Have you read books on it? Did you learn about it in school? You seem to focus on the eugenics aspect. That was only one aspect of NAZIism. What do you know about the rest of their strategies and goals?

"If someone mentions that terrible group, it should include the context of what ideas and thoughts not the label. And it is actually better to think and discuss on the better thoughts of empathy and caring then those thoughts in my view."

I completely agree with this statement. And you mention several of the characteristics of the NAZI movement, but your description is superficial. What is the source for your information about the NAZI movement?

3. Lucky for the torturers, banskers fraudsters, and tons of other corporate criminals

that the Obama administration has shown little interest in re-establishing the rule of law or ensuring accountability.

No matter who may millions they hurt- or how many people (in Peanut Corp's case 9) they actuallly kill and laugh about.

The most amusing (and pathetic) thing about this post of course wasn't its headfirst dive into Godwin's law- nor its transparent and juvenile effort at projection- but the very fact that the poster attempted in some seriousness such a Bushbot playground deal at all.
