DNC!! Spend $$$$ in KY/ Bluegrass Poll: Paul leads Conway by 6 points |
|
Not as easy as everyone was thinking, this IDIOT carpetbagger could win! Republican U.S. Senate nominee Rand Paul leads Democratic nominee Jack Conway by 6 points in a new Courier-Journal/WHAS11 Bluegrass Poll conducted by SurveyUSA. Paul held a 51 percent to 45 percent lead over Conway in the automated telephone survey of 569 likely voters. Another 4 percent said they were undecided. http://bluegrasspolitics.bloginky.com/2010/05/30/surveyusa-paul-leads-conway-by-6-points/

1. That seems about right at this point. |
|
It's a lot closer to the truth than the laughable 25 point lead that Rasmussen gave Paul. Earlier thread on the subjectConway will surely gain ground as people are made more aware of Paul's nutty ideology.

2. Kentucky is home to a lot of partially educated sheep |

We should not take a Conway win for granted. We have lots of dickheads like this; "Getting behind Rand Paul was pretty easy," said Frank Hudson, leader of the Tea Party organization in Whitley County and pastor of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship. senior citizens and other Social security benefities as well as the cities/areas with colleges and universities (UK, UofL, Transalvania, EKU, WKU, Berea, NKU, Thomas More). His people need to be out in full force in eastern KY explaining the Paul would be happy to take away their benefits and also that Paul isn't a native son of KY. Also point out that Paul mentions the COMMON WEALTH of KY rarely-because he doesn't realize we're one-and because he isn't from here. I really thing Conway can win this thing. People underestimate KY. We did vote for Clinton both terms.

6. I'm not sure that a Rand win wouldn't do more to help us further out |
|
I know that may sound like heresy to the faithful - but imagine him winning. It's one seat in the House among the many we're expected to lose - a far cry from someone like Ms Grifter being a heartbeat away from the Presidency.
Look at all the media fawning over Scott Brown and all the teabagger coverage - naturally, after the election they'd do more of the same, simply to prove to everyone how important and smart they are because they covered these stories (created much adieu about nothing, but that's not how they'll spin it).
Now picture Rand under such a continuous spotlight and interview circle over the next 2 years leading up to 2012. Between him and Palin, this would be the face of the Republican party.
That's got to be worth at least an extra, automatic 5-8% of the Independents right there

but that leaves KY again with two Senator's who serve only the agendas' of their masters. Yes, he would be a laughing stock and a rallying point. However, isn't it time we worked for the good candidates and not against them. We need a Democratic senator for this state. We have had excellent Democrats in the Senate and in the House in the past, and we are not an idiot state. Just one that suffers from poverty in the rural communities. I doubt we are alone.
To answer a poster above who mention the lack of intelligence in KY; yes, Kentucky is a rural state with serious issues of poverty. Poverty usually begets lesser educational opportunities. You can trash KY all you want, it only serves to illustrate that ignorance is not confined to Kentucky.
However, if you really want to help the poor citizens of Kentucky, like a good Democrat would, then support Jack Conway. The citizens of Kentucky would appreciate it.
I don't mean this statement to be critical, your senario has some merit. Exposure of these iditos is a very good thing. However, if you want Rand Paul for Senate, let him run in your state.

The same Virginia Foxx who opposed the Mathew Shepard Act isn't conservative enough for them anymore? They are insane.

I had to look up her voting record to see what I'd missed. Nothing that I could tell

10. Things will change when they run an actual general election campaign |
|
Rand Paul can't ignore the media forever, as his advisers told him to after he caused so much controversy over his comments on the civil rights act. He could easily screw up again in a debate and such (though so could Conway).
Then there's also the campaign ads, people may forget Paul's screw ups for now, but they can be brought back loud and clear in campaign ads, they can expose the hypocrisy of his libertarian beliefs to.
