I don't believe we should be meddling with every little issue around the world, or for that matter even taking a position on every issue around the world. Neutrality can sometimes be a perfectly respectable course of action.

So I will remain focused upon what I was focused upon last week: the oil spill and the economy, and that's about it.

8. I'll say yes to 3 out of those 4
As for the impotent lawmakers, I think that is more of a problem for their wives, mistresses and doctors.

19. Opinions are like assholes - everyone's got one.
Personally, the only FAIL I see is someone snarking about someone else's opinions.

3. When supposed Democratic countries attack and kill innocent people
in International waters, it tends to garner my attention pretty quickly.

6. I agree with you that we should be taking care of our own first before
we try to change everything wrong in the world. However, we can't ignore what's happening abroad because much that is happening over there affects us here as we have seen with the attacks on 9/11, the immigration issue and now the Gulf Oil disaster.

7. Israel is our business as long as they are using our weapons and our money to kill people
we can ignore the implications of that, but their neighbors certainly don't.

I'm taking a look around the entire RSA website. I wonder if there's anything like it in the US?

11. You know it's OK to take care of what's in your own backyard, so to speak
I see that some here disagree with you. We all handle what we can and for some working on many issues at once works for them. We all have our special niches and abilities and that's where we can focus the best. Greater good radiates outward from there IMO.

I took a lot of heat for supporting more toward the animal rescue efforts after Katrina struck. I was told I was callous and cruel because I didn't care enough about people. It's not that I don't care about people, I do very much care, but animals are my strong point and I know that there were and are many good folks out there that are better about taking care of people and not animals.

I think it's a fair trade-off in the end to use our best skills and focus on what works best for us.

Together, everybody pitches in and helps where and how they can.... that's how it's done.
