Two hot and important stories going on in the world they've got "Caught on Camera:Video" running.

3. On days like this they have news only in the morning.
Edited on Mon May-31-10 01:37 PM by alp227
Like how MTV shows music videos only weekday mornings these days, haha. Tell you what: there are many other great news sources out there like CNN or this website, or you can do anything but watch TV on this great Memorial Day. And when June begins MSNBC's regular news programming will resume, including the hard-hitting journos Keith, Rachel, and Dylan.

6. Who watches the shit they put on? Someone should make a poll
Nine times out of ten lately I switch to MSNBC then see their BS programming and quickly flip off their channel. CNN isn't much better these days. Soon I am going to get an antenna back up for my Ham radio and get my news there.

11. on the weekend, it's nothing but Lockup.
real shit programming. The only part of MSNBC that interests me is Maddow and Olberman, and occasionally Uncle Schultz (Tweety is good for bombastic bluster and eye-rolling commentary though).

12. Unless they've changed recently, daytime msnbc is deplorable 7 days a week.
At least, IMO. I rarely tune in before Ed comes on.

14. They really shouldn't call themselves a 24 hour cable news channel
because their actual news' programming isn't 24/7 but more like a few hours a day during the work week with the rest being talk shows and repeats of the talk shows. Of course on the weekends there is very little news' programming and sometimes none except for a repeat of Meet The Press.

15. What is MSNBC thinking?
Lockup doesn't do it. Do they want us to go to fox for news? Finding news on the weekends is hopeless and I just don't know how they can justify having a news network that doesn't have news on weekends.

16. how long did it take for Fox to become overtly right-wing?
I sort of vaguely recall that when it first started out it could be thought of as a news channel--no, seriously.

I don't think they were the Voice of the Angry and Fact-Challenged Right starting from the very beginning; it just sort of happened gradually (which made its drift from news to "news" so insidious). So if MSNBC is testing the waters with Keith, Ed, and Rachel :loveya:, maybe we should be willing to give it a little time.

19. Two hours of good programming doesn't compensate for 22 hours of propaganda and crap.
Edited on Mon May-31-10 04:50 PM by Radical Activist
It's bait. The few times I watched had Matthews and others constantly asking if Obama had given up on health care. They weren't reporting news. They were trying to create a conventional wisdom preferred by their corporate owners. Watching GE-NBC will only make someone better misinformed.

And Fox started out by running ads with Rush Limbaugh telling everyone what a fair and balanced news channel it was. It was right wing from the start and overtly appealed to the talk radio crowd.

17. Drives me nuts.
And leaves me watching CNN. And other than Anderson Cooper, who I rather like, that's not much fun.

I'm so sick of turning on MSNBC and finding those dopey prison or true crime things. Does anyone actually watch them?

25. Its interesting that they only run crap on the weekend
Why don't they re-run some Olbermann and Rachel at times that baggers and GOP might actually be watching?
Why? Because it might actually be seen by them? Because it might actually be seen by people who can't catch it during the week?

I think that is why.
