In their narrow myopia, hurting Palestinians (they only see Hamas) is equivalent to revenge for 9-11. Because they won't let themselves forget it and to find resolution.

The Freepers are celebrating vicariously that the interception of the ships means more hunger, more illness, more death, and more misery for the Palestinians. And they lump the residents of the Middle East (save for Israel) as one and the same. An Arab is the same as a Persian and a Palestinian. And certainly they'd celebrate the death of ca. 16 victims on the ships because it's the ultimate "score" in the game of war. They have "the war on terror" abstracted like a football game or video game. It gets their Adrenalin going ("USA! USA! USA!"). And anything that assists the far right Likud in Israel must be all right in their books.

Puzzling aspect of all this - A Christian should be discarding the Old Testament, as Christ came here for that purpose - to pour the old wine out and put new wine in. So it actually is Anti-christian when these Freepers spend so much time honoring a book that is horrific in its tale of smiting and slaying, and inhumane in its orders to stone to death the unmarried pregnant women, and urging debtors to sell their oldest daughters into slavery to pay off their debts. (Though how much you'd get for selling your oldest daughters, I have no idea.)
