Is Tony Hayward getting ready to fall on his sword?
He's making outrageous, demonstrably false, callous statements:

BP’s Tony Hayward: Hospitalized dispersant workers are suffering from “food poisoning”

BP CEO disputes claims of underwater oil plumes

Is the plan to can Hayward and then salvage BP's PR image?

Or is this a case where a sociopathic CEO starts to believe his corporate "Lie to You Face" behavior works in the public arena too?

1. He sells fuel to the US Military Industrial Complex. He is just arrogant.
But, BP should fire his ass and pretend they give a shit about truth and the planet.

3. As I just posted seconds ago in Bluebear's thread:
Obama is not going to end the oil wars, and BP is a major supplier of fuel to the U.S. military.

BP is going to walk away from this by paying fines and sacrificing a few lambs.

We are fucked here in Louisiana.

5. Afraid you're right on all that, Swampy. War is profit for corporations
War will continue. And it takes oil. There are too many of us peasants anyway, so some big die-offs are no big loss to corporations, and the pols who work for them.

I feel for you all down there. We are all Third World peasants now. We are exploited or expendable, nothing more.

we are easily expendable. Nothing lost and nothing gained.

As a person who has some strong Louisiana roots, I must agree, Louisiana is fucked and fucked good.

They'll be having to relocate, much like the Dust Bowl years.

I was told the book, "The Worst Hard Time", was as bad as life could get in America (Dust Bowl years).

Said book will be rewritten 1,000+ times if we survive. IF that is.

4. "a sociopathic CEO starts to believe his corporate "Lie to You Face" behavior "
No precedent for that now, is there?
