http://laist.com/2010/05/31/westboro_church_came_out_to_protest.php

The infamous protestors from Westboro Baptist Church visited Los Angeles yesterday to protest outside a memorial service for heavy metal rocker Ronnie James Dio. The public service was held in the afternoon at Forest Lawn Memorial-Park for the revered heavy metal singer and songwriter, who died of stomach cancer earlier this month.

"This rebel had a God-given platform - for decades - which he should have utilized to publish the truth of God,” the church said in a press release, according to Entertainment Weekly. “Instead, he used that platform - for decades - to teach rebellion against God, in the form glorifying atheism, promoting the devil horn hand sign & other such idolatries. Now he has been cut off by an Angry God & cast into hell.

4. I'm fond of this quote too
"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Not sure where it came from

15. Westboro Baptist Church is a law firm.
They generate frivolous lawsuits, then take advantage of an obscure 1970's law whereby the feds pay legal costs for the loser in civil suits. The idea was to insure justice for the poor. I suspect the birthers are financed the same way.

Your question drove me crazy for years until I finally uncovered this little gem of information. Sorry, don't have links anymore, but it's not hard to google up once you know what you're hunting for.

Edited on Mon May-31-10 06:27 PM by and-justice-for-all
in the face or that they they get a pounding from a pack of Metalheads.

WBO is the biggest pack of losers since the GOP, the 'devil horns' was something that DIO's grand mother did to ward off the evil eye. It has NOTHING to do with the devil and DIO's music was fantasy based and never Satanic in context.

and Atheism cures religious terrorism(WBO). I am sure that the cult nuts from WBO would be 'THE LAST IN LINE'.
