Google sends Grayson's emails to Spam
Despite pushing all kinds of crud into my Gmail inbox, the messages from Alan Grayson (Democratic candidate for Congress, Florida 8th District) were defaulted to my Spam folder.

I'd be interested in hearing from any other DU member who has similary, or contrary experience. I love a good conspiracy theory.

Note: Russ Feingold's messages get through; I live in Wisconsin.

1. I don't use gmail so mine get through
But the interesting one I have is my SeaMonkey email client accepts email from my Congresscritter Lloyd Doggett no problem. It even accepts the occasional email from Kay Bailey Hutchinson without a problem. But whenever I get an email from Cornyn, a message pops up "SeaMonkey thinks this is a SCAM"
you will note that it says scam not spam. So basically it categorizes it with the Nigerian emails.

2. Thanks. Still short of a conspiracy, but interesting.

3. My employer
My employer's email system classifies much of the corporate emails as spam and sticks them in the spam folder. The irony is too thick to document.

I presume there are triggers based upon the scope and nature of the distribution.

4. Not a conspiracy
More likely, certain political mailouts will, from time to time, meet spam filter criteria. This happened with one e-mail I got from a political advocacy group, and I have a different mail provider.
