Former 'LA Times' Baghdad Chief Says Iraqis Are 'Humiliated'

NEW YORK Former Los Angeles Times Baghdad Bureau Chief Borzou Daragahi says he doubts the "surge" in Iraq will work, and describes Iraq citizens as "hostile" and "humiliated" after four years of war.

Asked by Brian Lamb, in a forthcoming C-SPAN interview, about his personal views on the war, he replied: "I think at this point, it just – it seems like it’s become a disaster. I mean, I don’t think anyone could dispute that. It’s just going very, very, very, very badly." He said he had mixed feelings about the invasion but "As time wore on, though, as the bodies mounted, it just seems more and more like a really bad mistake."

The interview will be broadcast Sunday night.

2. I can't imagine why...
Say I lived in California and about a million of my fellow Californians were killed. Then say most of those who could high-tailed it out of there, leaving the rest of us to face the daily carnage being orchestrated by who knows where. I'm not so sure I would be humiliated...more likely insane..certainly more paranoid than any crack-head I've ever met.

3. And it's taking four
fucking looooooooooooong years to get that conclusion when I could have told them from the beginning.."Don't do it, assholes"

the bushits want their oil so that's why they keep putting these propoganda-filled names on the latest bush change..now it's "the surge" for oil.

Fucking homicidal maniacs are what they are.
