FBI Involved in Trying to Get Coulter Off Hook in Voting Fraud Case.
FBI agent steps into Coulter voting case

By Jose Lambiet

Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

Friday, May 11, 2007

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter has been cleared of allegations that she falsified her Palm Beach County voter's registration and voted illegally — this, after a high-level FBI agent made unsolicited phone calls to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office to vouch for Coulter.

The caller wasn't just any G-man. According to PBSO documents, he was Supervisory Special Agent Jim Fitzgerald, of the FBI Academy's Behavioral Analysis Unit in Quantico, Va. — the closest reality gets to the serial-killer catchers on CBS' Criminal Minds.

So why would an FBI profiler who went after the Unabomber take time from his busy day to even think about a municipal election snafu?

Fitzgerald is mum. But when the bureau heard about this from Page Two, it immediately launched an internal review of the agent's involvement.

"We're looking into it," bureau spokeswoman Ann Todd said.

4. Good Lord! These people really are corrupt!
This is probably not as bad as making their Supreme Court get involved in election malfeasance, which was a state issue and ultimately got * placed into office, but there is really no end to their dirty deeds.

I do not want my tax dollars spent to pay the salaries of someone who will go out of their way to get Ann Coulter off the hook for her crimes. This wouldn't happen for any other American, Coulter should have no special privileges.

What a vile, nasty, disgusting, sorry excuse for a human being Coulter is.

What a vile, nasty, disgusting, sorry excuse for a political party the Republicans are.

GOP = Nazi Germany

Edited on Fri May-11-07 07:53 AM by rasputin1952
Even then, it would only be a suggestion because ultimately, it is up to the DA to press charges.

The odd thing here, is the question whether the FBI was asked to intervene in the first place, if not, this guy is just another supporter; if they were, the protocol, unless this becomes a Federal Case, is for the FBI to supply relevant information, and not spurious conclusions.

Besides, this is not an FBI issue, it is local Election Board and State...:(

On edit: They must have something if this guy is going out there trying to quell the investigation...;)

That's why I don't trust them. Lots of conspiracy going on in local government and they look the other way, or cover for them.

I wouldn't even be surprised if they pass on information to key people in private industry to keep a good man down.

and complain, that republicans in Florida get to break the law and are let go...Rush, Foley and now Coulter....What's up....is that why bush packed the courts to let republicans continue to be above the law.

Not that I am taking up for her but Paris Hilton got 45 days for driving drunk. Coulter committed three....that's three felonies folks, plus knowingly giving false information on the driver's license. 45 days for drunk driving, falsfying a driver's license should be good for at least six months.

Anyone in FL able to get the ball rolling on disbarring this "WH-connected" lawyer, Marcos Jimenez, for lying to the police about the long-since-debunked "stalker threat?"

Fitzgerald's obstruction ought to lose him his pension, unless he can explain how a Federal Agent can non-threateningly "vouch" for someone's privilege to commit voter fraud.

I don't suppose they still have a Dem Attorney General down there, do they?

29. Notice how Coulter's name is conspicuously absent in any discussion of voter fraud?
How is it possible that Coulter, caught red-handed with lots of documented evidence, gets a 'pass' from prosecution for one of the real examples of 'voter fraud?'

This is a 'slam dunk' situation because she cannot justify her actions without incriminating herself on other criminal charges.

Someone needs to finally step up and attack the controllers of the system for protecting her from prosecution.

38. Don't forget that most of the US attorneys that were fired were
accused of not actively pursuing voter fraud cases--against Democrats. They dared to investigate corrupt Republicans, but didn't go after innocent Dems over false voter fraud allegations.

I would imagine that other prosecutors have gotten the emssage about what is supposed to be investigated and what investigations are required to be shut down.

44. You folks don't seem to be getting the big picture
Both voter fraud and election fraud are commonplace in Florida. I was a deputy supervisor of elections in Florida years ago, and witnessed four distinct kinds of fraud take place which contributed significantly to the narrow defeat of a populist ballot measure. When the 2000 treason occurred, I was not in the least bit surprised, although I'd long since left the state.

The point is that they can't investigate / prosecute Coulter's case without opening the floodgates for investigation of scores of other examples of voter fraud and election fraud that are accepted as par for the course in the Sunshine State. On an even bigger scale, the fundamental problem we have as a nation is that we have never figured out how to conduct truly free and fair elections. But to keep the discussion limited to Florida, just bear in mind that county and state officials make strenuous efforts year in and year out to maintain the appearance of democracy so that the citizens don't have to worry their minds and can get on with their golf games. Investigating the case of a "celebrity" such as Coulter will stir up all kinds of havoc that has just barely been contained, over the years, by the concerted hush campaigns of many, many officials, both elected and appointed. And we can't have that now, can we?
