The one thing no one is talking about in U.S. government is the oil issue. The one thing no one is talking about in mainstream media is the oil issue. Until you understand the oil issue you will not understand what is going on in Iraq.
The 1980 Carter Doctrine declared that the U.S. would use "any means necessary, including military force" to secure U.S. oil interests in the Persian Gulf. So forget the "spread democracy" spin job. Forget the "saving the world from Saddam Hussein" and "protecting us from terrorists" rhetoric. Forget the al-Qaeda links and 9/11 retribution.
They are all lies.
Iraq has been occupied to benefit the Big Four; the United States firms
Exxon Mobile and Chevron, the British BP Amoco and Royal Dutch Shell,
which dominate the world oil market. And the Big Four do not care about
Corporate Social Responsibility. Their only loyalty is to their major
stockholders. That is great if you are in that 1% of The People of the
United States in that group.

Forget the reports that our harbors, schools and shopping malls are just
as vulnerable as they ever were. Forget that somehow lone nut-jobs can
still go off killing people at these locations at will. The fact that
there have been no terrorist attacks at these locations must be the proof
that the Department of Homeland Security is doing its job.
The proof of terrorist cells in the United States is that there is no
evidence of terrorist cells in the United States. Isn't that slick?
Meanwhile Cheney is off on a surprise mission to Iraq to chastise those
truant Iraqis that are resisting signing away their national treasure. I
suppose he has to remind them of all the benefits of democracy that we
brought them.
And don't you forget either.
