Sadly - Floridians looking forward to storm season
So many fires in the state and the state is way down on its rain totals the past year as is much of the south. The state could use a tropical depression right now, but none on the horizon. Wow!!

1. The smoke is unbelievably thick in Clearwater today.
There's ash all over the cars in the parking lot.

2. Hey, speak for yourself!
I'm all for more rain, but I'd like to avoid 100 mph winds and whatnot.

3. I don't want those winds either
and with winds blowing like that the rain doesn't do much good. A nice tropical depression would do the state some good right now.

13. Which USS Parche is your namesake?
The late SSN Parche, or the Balao class Parche?

16. Nice.
Do the torpedoes in the game "thunk them with a thud" like they did in real life?

5. Almost.
I got out of bed this morning, and my eyes and throat were burning. And it looked like heavy fog outside.

10. Same with hurricanes
as a clean up function. Katrina was a bitch but she did help us get rid of dead trees and alot of underbrush. We have baby Pines and Oaks in our one acre of solitude now. We have less shade but Katrina got rid of a lot of trash for us.
